I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish, I didn’t have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me and grew heavier with each task;
Why doesn’t God help me, I wondered; He answered, “You didn’t ask.”
I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn’t show me; He said, “But you didn’t seek.”
I tried to come into God’s presence; I used all my keys at the lock;
God gently and lovingly chided, “My child, you didn’t knock.”
I woke up early this morning and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.”

After reading this poem today and, finding it a nice reminder for the beginning of the week, I decided to share it with you.
I’m also taking this opportunity to let my regular readers know that due to study commitments over the next six months my priorities will change for a short time. This means I will not be able to keep up my pace from last year of posting three times a week. Your loyalty in reading, commenting and contemplating my blog are highly appreciated so I promise to do my best to post once a week during that time. Please keep reading and when you find a post you like please share it on Facebook etc (Sharing is the most effective form of promoting this blog). Thanks for your support. I hope to back to three posts a week in July.
